AP (advanced Placement) test 

Taking the Advanced Placement exams is an important part of all AP courses. Scoring well on an AP exam can often earn students college credit for their high school class, saving a significant amount on tuition.

This year each AP exam costs $94.00. Orcutt Academy High School hopes that every student is able to take their AP exams. Students requiring financial assistance should contact Mr. Ostini, Dean of Students to learn more about potential financial assistance opportunities.

​Orcutt Academy High School is excited to offer families the convenience of paying exam fees online at the time of registration. Please be sure to have a credit card or debit card available before beginning registration. Paying online is a great way to make sure that payment has been made while avoiding mailing payment.

PSAT 

The PSAT/NMSQT is a standardized test that 11th graders (and some 10th graders) take. Like the SAT, it measures the knowledge and skills in reading, writing, and math students learn in the classroom—the same knowledge and skills your child needs to succeed in college and career.
  • Students sign up for the PSAT/NMSQT at school—not through the College Board website. 
  • Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT qualify for a chance to win scholarships and recognition from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation and our other scholarship partners.
  • The PSAT/NMSQT has three parts: the Reading Test, the Writing and Language Test, and the Math Test. See sample PSAT/NMSQT questions.
  • PSAT/NMSQT scores are not sent to colleges.
  • If your child qualifies for a PSAT/NMSQT fee waiver, they take the test for free. Please see your counselor to see if you qualify.
